Summary

Islam is the dominant religion in most parts of Malaysia. Most people have managed to balance both physical and spiritual developments in this religion. This culture was recently marked during the previous celebrations of the inception of Islam Hadhari. According to the Prime Minister, it aimed at maintaining the set morals and ethics of the religion. However, media has a great role in achieving civilization to all in the Islam community, in the country.

However, tension still prevails between nationalism and globalization. Nationalism is bound to promote the modernity in every society while globalization encourages use of the recent technology in communication that promotes the spread of the religion. However, at some point, these two items can only be a mere imagination in real life if the right channels are not used to achieve them.
