The research question will be ‘how education computer games act as literacy sponsors in elementary schools’.

• What are the perceptions o the educators and school staff on the employment of computer games in education?
• What implications do do education computer games have on the improvement of academic and literacy skills of elementary students?

Hypothesis

The hypothesis of the study would be ‘education computer games increase the level of literacy of students in elementary schools’.

Theoretical Underpinning

Their research would be augmented by the Naturalistic Education Theory that indicates that the brain has its important and lasting education demands that can only be met if the process of learning is organized in a particular manner. Of great importance according to Salem (2006) is its postulation that new information should be taught in the order of invention in order to have a great impact. The education computer games provided on the web present an emergent invention that can be employed in education in order to realize optimal outcomes.

Methodology

The research would be based both on the findings of a comprehensive literature review as well as an analysis in the field. The participants of the analysis would comprise of students from kindergarten to sixth grade. The benchmarks for inclusion would be the ability to direct their attention on the screen of the computer, differentiate between the different academic stimuli and be able to use the mouse in making specific academic selections.
